I don’t usually make posts like this, but I feel like I need to get this off my chest and tell my side of what happened with Spidermandingo (Lino Colon Jr).
When we first became friends, I honestly thought he was a good guy and someone I could trust. I went out of my way to support him. I spent around $600 helping him get set up with better gear for streaming — a used PC, upgraded webcam, capture card, audio cable, and headset. On top of that, I spent countless hours helping him behind the scenes: setting up his stream, overlays, Streamer.bot, troubleshooting issues, and staying up until 3–4AM some nights just to make sure everything worked right for him.
When I would show up in his streams, our interactions were always joking around. I’d say things like “hey fucker” or “hey old man,” and he’d laugh, smile, and joke back. That was our normal. Then one day, something changed. Out of nowhere, he started timing me out every time I came into chat saying the same things I’d always said. He never messaged me privately to explain what was bothering him or ask me to stop. No conversation. Just timeouts.
Even after timing me out repeatedly, he would still come to me whenever his stream broke or needed fixing — and I still helped him every time. There was even a day I was busy and couldn’t respond immediately. He messaged me multiple times on Facebook and Discord, tried calling me on both, and when I didn’t answer right away, he went into a Discord server and posted that I was ignoring him and that his stream was messed up and he needed help.
After the sixth time he timed me out in his chat, I finally messaged him and said:
“Timing me out again? Don’t be surprised if I don’t help you with your stream when you need it.”
After that, I never heard from him again. He unfollowed me, banned me, and then told others — including purgatori2 and Meliki819 — to unfollow and ban me as well. I had helped them in the past too, including upgrading a laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10 for free, which would have cost money at a shop. I’ve always been respectful and helpful toward them.
At one point on his stream, he even admitted he told them to unfollow and ban me. Later he denied it and started making things up about me being “butt hurt” and having no friends. When I tried to calmly ask why I was banned in a Discord voice chat, he went on stream and started swearing at me and threatening to beat me up. That was honestly shocking.
I still don’t understand what flipped from being friends to being treated like this. There was never a conversation, never an explanation. Just being used for help when needed, then pushed away.
At the end of the day, I feel like I got taken advantage of. I helped because I thought we were friends. Maybe that was my mistake. I’m not posting this for drama — just to speak my truth and close the chapter. I genuinely wish people well, but I won’t keep putting energy into situations where respect isn’t mutual.
Lesson learned: be careful who you go all-in for.
